Crackers With Brain: Three reasons why The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board will ban Fifty Shades Darker
Like they did before and they will do again, these are the top three reason why The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board will ban Fifty Shades Darker from showing in Nigeria cinemas.
They have no work to do
When you think about it, most of the movies that make it to the Nigeria cinemas don't usually contain a heavy content of sexual activities, those that do, don't make it to the big screen. So they see Fifty Shades as an avenue to exercise their power and authority. People that should be involved strategizing on how to make the Nigeria movie industry better.
To get into the News Headlines
One of the major reasons why The Nigeria Film and Video Censors Board will ban Fifty Shades Darker next year is solely to get back into the News Headlines, since the stint they performed two years ago in feburary 2015, i've never heard anything about The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board, and i know i speak for millions of Nigerians and movie lover when i say that. So they will likely ban the movie just to get back into the News Headlines.
Like someone said any type of publicity is a good publicity.
Corruption
We all know that most Nigeria Music video and so called Nollywood productions consist of more nudity, sex scenes and its like than Fifty Shades but since the producers of this films are here in nigeria, it is easier to bribe The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board to allow such video recieve air play and cinema time but since EL James is not in Nigeria, there's no one to bribe The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board and i don't think she even cares or bother, she makes her money off from the cinemas abroad who are ever ready to show the master piece.
I just hope The Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board will set their piorities right in 2017 and be of better use to the Nigeria Movie Industry instead of banning movies upaandan.
